DBasia.news – Kurang dari sebulan pesta sepak bola Eropa Piala Eropa 2020 akan dimulai di 11 kota dari 11 negara-negara Eropa. Pada perhelatan Piala Eropa kali ini tema yang diusung adalah “Unity” atau kesatuan.
Mengusung tema itu DJ dan juga Produser musik ternama dunia, Martin Garrix bekerja sama dengan Bono dan The Edge merilis lagu resmi Piala Eropa 2020 berjudul We Are The People. Lagu ini sudah dirilis dua pekan lalu dan bisa dinikmati melalui platform-platform musik.
Seperti halnya tema Piala Eropa 2020 We Are The People memiliki harapan untuk menggambarkan determinasi, harapan, dan aura positif yang dibutuhkan seluruh orang terutamanya tim-tim yang berpatisipasi untuk sukses.
“Menciptakan musik untuk salah satu event terbesar dunia bersama dengan Bono dan The Edge telah menjadi pengalaman yang sangat hebat,” ucap Garrix di laman resmi UEFA.
“Saya sangat bangga dengan apa yang telah kami lakukan bersama dan senang untuk akhirnya dapat berbagi dengan dunia!”
Lantunan lagu We Are The People merupakan karya dengan kombinasi sempurna antara Martin Garrix, Bono, dan The Edge. Bono menulis lirik dan menciptakan melodi, lalu The Edge menambahkannya pada riff gitar.
UEFA melalui Direktur Marketing Guy-Laurent Epstein senang dapat mengenalkan lagu resmi Piala Eropa 2020. UEFA juga menuturkan harapan dari lagu tersebut.
“Penantian panjang hampir berakhir dan kami dengan senang hati mengumumkan secara resmi lagu resmi untuk Piala Eropa 2020, We Are The People, yang menampilkan beberapa artis paling terkenal di dunia seperti Martin Garrix, Bono, dan The Edge,” ucap Epstein.
“Sepak bola dan musik memiliki kekuatan untuk menyatukan orang. Mereka adalah vektor gairah dan emosi dan menggabungkan mereka akan memperluas perayaan penggemar turnamen, serta menjangkau penonton baru.”
“Dengan formasi bertabur bintang, kami telah bekerja sama untuk membuat musik resmi turnamen, kami yakin dapat melakukannya,” urai dia.
